Part 4 – Outside the classroom:
An important and particularly enjoyable aspect of learning the language happens outside the classroom. ‘Playing with the language’ – speaking it informally with friends – is the quickest way to develop functional fluency. But it does require a commitment.
Live the language, use it every day as often as you can. If you truly want to posses the language, you must work at it every day, from every available angle.
Help someone else learn what you have learnt yourself: Teaching others is a great way to solidify concepts in your own mind and increase your confidence and comfort with the language.
Not using your newly learnt Gaeilge is the best way to waste your time and lose whatever progress achieved. “ Use it or lose it”
